Book overview:
Penny is sick of boys and sick of dating, so she vows: No more. She’s had one too many bad dates, and has been hurt by one too many bad boys. It’s a personal choice…and soon everybody wants to know about it. It seems that Penny’s not the only girl who’s tired of the way girls change themselves (most of the time for the worse) in order to get their guys…or the way their guys don’t really care about them. Girls are soon thronging to The Lonely Hearts Club (named after Sgt. Pepper’s band), and Penny finds herself near legendary for her non-dating ways – which is too bad, since the leader of The Lonely Hearts Club has found a certain boy she can’t help but like…

I want to read it because a) lovin the title and b) boys are jerks and we should all banish them from society (well, we could let Johnny Depp stay for a bit...)

I really want to read this for 2 reasons. FIrst, it sounds like something I'd enjoy, and second, I've really been neglecting my YA reading lately.
ReplyDeleteI want to read this one because I like YA books about friendship.
ReplyDeleteWould you believe that I would like to read this book because I'm just now finally getting into comtemporary teen fiction? I've always read fantasty and old teen books, but contemporary was never even on my radar before my future sister-in-law introduced me to it at the beginning of this month.

This one actually sounded interesting to me (I'm not always into YA), and I was thinking it might be fun for Gabriella to read eventually as well.
