Monday Mailbox

A pair of very different from each other books but still equally enticing joined my shelves this week. This week's mailbox arrival:

Queen Elizabeth's Daughter by Anne Clinard Barnhill came from St. Martin's Griffin.

Elizabeth I is fascinating and this tale of her ward, a young woman she loves like a daughter, who dares to disobey her should be thrilling.

Northanger Abbey by Val McDermid came from Grove Press.

A modernization of a Jane Austen novel by a huge name author? How delectable!

If you'd like to see the marvelous goodies in other people's mailboxes, make sure to visit Mailbox Monday and have fun seeing how we are all doing our part to keep the USPS and delivery services viable.

I have had to disable the anonymous comment option to cut down on the spam and I apologize to those of you for whom this makes commenting a chore. I hope you'll still opt to leave me your thoughts. I love to hear what you think, especially so I know I'm not just whistling into the wind here at my computer.
