It's Monday! What Are You Reading This Week?

This meme is hosted by J. Kaye at J. Kaye's Book Blog. I had another week of reading less than is usual for me but I signed up to be nagged about not being up to date on my reviews (hi Alaine!) so I was much better about posting those this week. Now I'm a mere 21 reviews behind. As bad as that sounds, it's real progress!

Books I completed this week are:

To Taste Temptation by Elizabeth Hoyt
A Lady's Life in the Rocky Mountains by Isabella Bird
Reed City Boy by Timothy James Bazzett
In a Perfect World by Laura Kasischke

Bookmarks are still living in the middle of:

The Far Pavilions by M.M. Kaye
The Big Rock Candy Mountain by Wallace Stegner
Atmospheric Disturbances by Rivka Galchen
Divided Lives by Elsa Walsh
Terra Incognita by Sarah Wheeler

Reviews posted this week:

However Tall the Mountain by Awista Ayub
The Wedding by Julie Garwood
While I'm Falling by Laura Moriarty

Current giveaway on my blog:

The Blue Star by Tony Earley Enter before Oct. 9th for a chance to win one of five copies.

  1. Just so you know, I have trouble keeping up with your blogs...I *know* you're a reader, but writing the blog and reviews and all on top of all the reading REALLY impresses me, even if you are behind!! And I know your kids aren't being neglected any more than is good for them. ;-P

  3. Ooooh! "In a Perfect World" is on my TBR shelf right now- it looks great! (Looking forward to your review, of course!)

I can't believe that you are able to read 4 books in one week- amazing!!! I can do 2, possibly 3 in a week, but that's it! I hope that you get caught up on your reviews soon- isn't Alaine great???

  7. LOL Kristen, you crack me up, 21 reviews!!! Isn't it amazing, if you read less, (I've been in go slow mode for 2 weeks) you do get caught up on reviews, I think I'm down to 2 or 3 reviews left woohoo!! And of course Alaine's nagging helped LOL
Off to check out some of your reviews :-)

  8. I can't believe that you've resisted An Echo in the Bone this long! It still doesn't have a bookmark in it?

  9. Birgit--Of course it doesn't. I slacked off of the series before The Fiery Cross. I do want to get back to it, it's just that I don't love Brianna and Roger as much as I do Jamie and Claire.

I have had to disable the anonymous comment option to cut down on the spam and I apologize to those of you for whom this makes commenting a chore. I hope you'll still opt to leave me your thoughts. I love to hear what you think, especially so I know I'm not just whistling into the wind here at my computer.
