Welcome to this month's Monday Mailbox, the meme started by Marcia and currently on tour around the internet. This month is my month to host this wonderful green-eyed monster inspiring meme. Yay! This past week's mailbox arrival:
All Gone by Alex Witchel came from Riverhead Books and LibraryThing Early Reviewers.The memoir of a daughter coming to terms with her mother's dementia through cooking old family recipes, I am really looking forward to this despite knowing that it will be heart wrenching.
A Private History of Happiness by George Myerson came from Meryl Zegarek PR.How could a book containing brief writings about everyday happiness not be appealing?! Perhaps it will prove instructive as well on those days I don't feel particularly cheery.
What the Zhang Boys Know by Clifford Garstang came from the author and TLC Book Tours for a blog tour.A novel in stories about widower Zhang Feng-qui and his sons as well as the people who live in their apartment building, I am looking forward to this different way of telling a story.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe that Monday has come around already, thanks for hosting Mailbox Monday again.
You have three such diverse books this week, although I am not sure that I would be rushing out to buy any of them personally.
'All Gone' would be just too emotional, given that I have lost family to dementia.
'A Private History Of Happiness' would be good as a coffe table book, to leave out and browse through occasionally ... I do actually do that with poetry books sometimes.
I hope that you enjoy all of your books though and have a good week.
