Monday Mailbox

I didn't manage to post my mailbox last week so this is two weeks' worth. Even so, I was once again spoiled with great books and a beautiful pair of earrings too. Sometimes it is great to be me. ;-) This past two weeks' mailbox arrivals:













These beauties came from my fantastic friend Kathryn. She's not only a fellow reader but she makes gorgeous jewelry and sells it in her etsy shop. I so miss living by her so I could browse her shelves and her jewels!

From the Ground Up by Jeanne Nolan was a contest win from Spiegel and Grau.

A memoir about the sustainable food movement and organic gardening, I'm curious to read about Nolan's journey and the importance of what she learned along the way.

One Summer by Bill Bryson came from Doubleday.

I love me some Bill Bryson and this enormous chunk of a book about the summer of 1927 in America promises to be completely engrossing.

Someone Else's Love Story by Joshilyn Jackson came from William Morrow and TLC Book Tours for a blog tour.

A woman falls in love with a man during a stick-up when he steps between the gun and her small son, how could this get any better? Only by having Joshilyn Jackson as the author, of course.

This Is the Story of a Happy Marriage by Ann Patchett came from Harper and TLC Book Tours for a blog tour.

I was lucky enough to meet Ann Patchett when she won the WNBA Award for her meritorious work in the world of books and I am definitely looking forward to this literary memoir.

Little Island by Katharine Britton came from Berkley and BookSparks PR for a blog tour.

When a family comes together for a funeral, they must face an old tragedy and rise above it. Sounds lovely, doesn't it?
