Monday Mailbox

As if finally getting my decade-long awaited trip to London and book shopping across the pond wasn't enough, I came home to a veritable cornucopia of lovely goodies waiting for me to open them as well. This past week's mailbox arrivals:

Worthy by Catherine Ryan Hyde came from Lake Union and BookSparks for a blog tour.

Let's be honest. I am a complete sucker for a book with a dog on the cover. This one about a woman and a young man connected by a long ago tragedy through a lost dog looks really heartwarming.

Whisper Beach by Shelley Noble came from William Morrow and TLC Book Tours for a blog tour.

Old friendships, secrets, and the past fill this lovely beachy looking read.

Little Woman in Blue by Jeannine Atkins came from She Writes Press.
A book about the youngest Alcott sister and her drive to become an artist, this is totally up my alley.

Making Nice by Matt Sumell came from Henry Holt.

About a man flailing around and being unpleasant, this actually looks like it could have come serious black comedic potential.

Etta and Otto and Russell and James by Emma Hooper came from Simon and Schuster Paperbacks.

Described as lovely and sweet, this tale of an elderly Canadian woman who decides to walk over a thousand miles to see the ocean and the adventures of her husband, their friend, and another man is one I can't wait to read.

The Wolf Border by Sarah Hall came from Harper and TLC Book Tours for a blog tour.

A zoologist specializing in wolves goes back to England to supervise the reintroduction of the species near her childhood home in this very appealing novel.

All My Puny Sorrows by Miriam Toews came from McSweeney's.

About two very different seeming Mennonite sisters, this one is completely intriguing.
